ARTIST BIO

Hi! Thanks for finding me here. I am a visual artist living in Ireland, and mainly work in oils and acrylic. I recently returned to Ireland, to Mullingar, Westmeath from Perthshire, Scotland.

I dabbled in oils in my twenties, in Donegal before moving to Dublin, where I studied Interior Design at Griffith College and History of European Painting at TCD.

In Scotland I studied under Charles Harris at Scone Studios and Janet Melrose in Crieff.

Working in oils and acrylic, I often use poetry and literature as inspiration for my work, Kavanagh, Rumi, Calvino, Rilke, among others. Recent work includes a series of bird paintings inspired by the work of Award-winning Photographer, Donal Power from Arklow, with his kind permission.

Currently I am working on an art project researching Bird-Glass Collisions on the North-American continent and worldwide.

I am a professional member of Visual Artists Ireland and my work is also online at:
